IT Sligo Announces Quality Software Partnership

The Engineering Department at Institute of Technology, Sligo has announced a new technology collaboration with software company QA Assistant Limited, using the latest Quality Engineering software on its Quality courses, specifically the latest online Six Sigma Green Belt Course.

QA Assistant Limited is based in the Business Innovation Centre (ITSBIC) on campus at IT Sligo and its international clients include Tupperware and Verus Precision. Head of Technology Transfer and Innovation at IT Sligo, Niall McEvoy commented: "As an award winning business based in ITSBIC, QA Assistant Limited developed specialist software for Quality control and planning in industry. This tied in with our cutting edge Quality courses at IT Sligo and we created the opportunity to enable our Quality students, many of whom are already working in industry, use this software resource."

Brian Coll, lecturer in engineering at IT Sligo commented: "The software will be used on the new online Six Sigma Green Belt Course, which is the only course of this type in Ireland. The course can be completed as a standalone module or as part of the online BSc Quality and BSc Manufacturing Management degree courses. The study of QA Assistant Studio™ complements our course syllabus and ensures our students learn the most modern tools used in the industry."
